Another therapeutic strategy in use for those suffering from tinnitus is the use of tinnitus noisers, i.e. a device integrated into a hearing aid, capable of producing a noise parallel to that usually heard. This method has the aim of accustoming the brain (habituator) so that it desensitises the perception of the "pathological" frequency, leading in several cases to a real cancellation of the noise.
There are dedicated apps with large libraries of sounds and music suitable for various frequencies.
These devices are suitable for both patients without hearing loss and patients who already have hearing loss.
