About

I work where voice, body, and performance meet.

I’m an osteopath and physiotherapist specialized in professional voice care, with over 20 years of clinical and academic experience in voice, working with actors, singers, and performers across theatre, film, and live production environments between London, New York, and Milan.

Valentina Carlile

My work takes place both behind the scenes and within active production contexts — supporting performers through rehearsal processes, live runs, and high-demand schedules.

Voice is not just a vocal fold event.
It’s a full-body system involving biomechanics, breath, neuromuscular coordination, and adaptation under pressure.

When that system is efficient, the voice is free.
When it’s not, the voice compensates.

That’s where I come in.

Due to the nature of my work, further details and credits are shared privately upon request.

What I do

I support performers across three key phases:

Protect — reducing overload, preventing injury, maintaining consistency across performances;
Restore — addressing dysfunctions, compensations, and loss of efficiency;
Empower — expanding vocal and physical capacity to meet artistic demands.

My approach integrates osteopathic models, manual therapy, and performance-based understanding of voice use — always adapted to the specific context: stage, set, studio, or tour.

How I work

I work both independently and within production environments.

This can include:
– preparing a performer for a role, shoot, or tour
– supporting performers during rehearsal periods
– maintaining vocal and physical efficiency throughout live runs
– managing load during high-intensity performance schedules

My work is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing creative and production processes — without interference, and with full respect for the artistic work.
