Eating healthy also helps you have a beautiful smile

Eating healthy helps you have a beautiful smile

We hear every day about dental prophylaxis from specialists, newspapers and advertisements, but did you know that prophylaxis does not only mean taking care of your teeth daily and going to the dentist for check-ups but also eating well?

Research has highlighted how some foods are "conducive to a beautiful smile", capable of significantly reducing gum inflammation, degradation of teeth and implants thanks to their anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial and immunoregulatory properties.

Properties and foods are:

  • Grapes (resveratrol)

  • Peppers, rocket, kiwi, currants, pineapple (Vit C)

  • Mackerel, tuna, salmon, prawns, oysters, mushrooms (Vit D)

  • Grapes, apples, peanuts (Vit A, E, B)

Drinking an appropriate amount of water every day can also help us by guaranteeing greater oral cleanliness, thanks to substances such as calcium and fluoride. Precisely calcium and fluoride also have a fundamental role in the prevention of cavities.

So, even if it is not always easy to eat properly, especially if you spend a lot of time away from home, we can however try to introduce certain foods and include more useful ones!
