Food and lifestyle tips for tinnitus

Food and lifestyle tips for tinnitus

It is now known that to maintain optimal health it is necessary to adopt a correct and healthy diet and change some lifestyle habits.

In case of tinnitus, one of the first measures is to eliminate or reduce foods rich in saturated fats, junk food and canned preparations because they increase blood pressure.

Reducing salt, salicylates and monoglutamate and increasing the amount of water drunk during the day improves circulation with a positive impact on tinnitus, so it is better to avoid:

  • Cured meat

  • Sausages

  • Tuna

  • Salmon

  • Pickles

  • Asian (Chinese) foods

  • Sweeteners (aspartame and glutamate)

  • Carrots, artichokes, celery, spinach, fennel and asparagus

Food yes:

  • Rice and pasta (possibly in unsalted or lightly salted water)

  • Seasonal fruit

  • Lean meats

  • Fish with Omega-3 (cod, oily fish)

  • Supplement vitamins B1, B6, B9, B12 in case of dietary deficiency

  • Integrate Coenzyme Q10 (powerful antioxidant) and zinc, melatonin

Combining a healthy diet with adequate physical activity and therapeutic exercises given by your osteopath has been seen to have a positive impact on the disorder.
